Painting with Hope was started by a twin sister duo, Hope and Faith Atkins. Hope was a healthcare worker and a freelance artist who dreamed of encouraging others to put their God given talents to work. Faith was a customer service worker who loved creating media and networking with others.
In the midsts of quarantine, all Hope could dream about was getting back to doing what she loved and bringing that same joy to others. Hope & Faith worked together packing materials into kits and delivered the kits to students. They wanted to ensure students, especially first-time-painters, had everything they needed without leaving the comfort of their homes, bringing "the art studio" to them. It was a beautiful way to build and maintain connections during a trying time.
In 2021, when the world started to open back up, Hope volunteered her time preaching the importance of self-care to fellow frontline workers. She had the pleasure of leading numerous Northwell Health departments in paint night team building sessions. Hope emphasized the destressing nature of painting by providing practical techniques to "Trust the Process".
It soon became visible that people really had an interest in Hope's skill, patience, and love for teaching others. Hope went to her sister to officially proposed stepping out on faith in building her own business.
Together they created what is now known as Painting With Hope. A fun and interactive way to build on friendships and relationships, while also letting your creativity run free. Hope and Faith love running this business together. Not only do they enjoy watching people's faces light up, they love that this business allows them to work as a team and build on their relationship as well.
Although Painting With Hope started during a dark time in humanity, these sisters were able to find and create something beautiful that they can share with others. So please, when ever you join us, remember to always carry a little bit of hope.
